In today’s world we hear so much talk around self-care and what it can potentially look like, but what does self-care really mean when we put it into practice? Is it all just bubble baths and expensive spa days? Katie and Morgan are here to bring an alternative approach to this topic and speak about different energetic practices of how to take care of ourselves through energy healing and a practice called mirror work.

Morgan Roosa's Bio:

Morgan Roosa is a bodyworker and energy medicine practitioner at the Heart-Rooted Healing Center in Montgomery, OH.  She has been a licensed massage therapist for 12 years and a Healing Touch student for 5 years.  Her focus and specialty within the massage therapy community is providing massage to people who are living with cancer. She does contract work for the Waddell Family Healing Hands program within the non-profit in Cincinnati, Ohio called Cancer Family Care.  This grant funded program offers 3 free, 1 hour massage therapy sessions (per calendar year) for anyone currently going through active cancer treatment. She also provides massage therapy sessions outside of this program to anyone interested. She is currently completing her year-long apprenticeship in Healing Touch to become a certified practitioner by fall of 2023.  Her passion in holistic health and wellness modalities has fueled her career path and continues to help her become the best version of herself.

Katie Kilburn’s Bio:

Katie Kilburn is an alternative and holistic healing practitioner at the Heart-Rooted Healing Center in Montgomery, Ohio, offering 1:1 and group healing sessions. Her current offerings for clients include energy healing and hypnagogic light therapy. After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Therapy in 2012 and working in the traditional mental health system for 6 years, Katie recognizes the traditional systems are extremely valuable; however, she also has come to learn there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to healing and wellness. Her passion lies in the alternative and holistic approaches to healing. In 2022 she completed a year-long training in shamanic energy medicine and became a Reiki master in 2023. Katie’s mission is to help clients remember that they are their own greatest healers and to bring creative and impactful solutions for healing to the community.
